Events   Events : AspireOS at Kindergarden 2011
posted by nikosidis on 17-Oct-2011 11:56:53 (2620 reads)
I will be at Kindergarden 2011 Norway with my ACER aspire one and AspireOS for people interested in a demo.

In short, Kindergarden 2011 is a demoparty which will take place during the weekend stretching from the 4th to the 6th of November 2011 at Haga Samfunnshus in eastern Norway. As for every demoparty with self respect there will be compos, entertainment, great people and a friendly atmosphere.

I will bring free CDs with AspireOS.

I think it is a variant of Aros for the Acer Aspire netbook.

okay cool.
But not just write that?
I mean, it makes the news more readable, if readers don't have to google the news.

well,.... what about this news:

A-Eon presents X1000 running AOS 4.2 at Kindergarden.

In this case you wouldn't write who A-Eon is, what the X1000 is nor what AOS 4.2 means, would you ? However in both cases people should state what AspireOS is, what AOS 4.2 is, what X1000 is and who A-Eon is.
Everybody in Arosland knows what AspireOS is. As we in Amigaland know what the difference between AmigaOS Classic and AmigaOS 4 is...

People tend to forget, that AmigaOS 4 / AROS (whatever distribution) might not be common allover Amigaland.

You are right. I should explain little better. AspireOS is an AROS distribution made for Intel Netbook users. ACER aspire one 110 and 150 is 100% supported, but many other netbooks works fine too.

You can read more about AspireOS here:

I just saw "You are Lucy" by Spaceballs (AGA/060), ranked 1st at the oldskool KG compo; in one word: amazing!
