Uh oh. Seems I have to make good on my threat to upgrade as soon as it is officially released for OS4 native. Now where did I put my wallet...

Warning: This is a beta release only. The GUI certainly needs work (it is very difficult to tell what you are clicking on, as most of the icons don't show up), and it is overall pretty unstable. I'm getting a softlogik.font glyph error on startup, but I can't find the font in order to resave it.

The Pagestream executable needs to be set as executable and given a "tool" type icon in order to get it to work at all.

Rather work in progress unfortunately.

(NB: I've only tried v5, it is possible that v4 has less problems)

darn. So much software, so few bucks (ahem) ...

I just bought CubicIDE (i wont regret THAT for sure, incredible development army knife), now comes the next software gadget.

Hmm, but there is also Hollywood... and DvPlayer... and AE...

Argh ! I cant decide what to buy next ! Why can't Hyperion release a new game to ease my pain ? Then i would just buy the game instead and get the apps later :P

Whats it's interoperability like? I'd assume it would support MS Document types. What versions? How well are they supported?

The same goes for v 4!

Same unstability.
Even Grimreapers several times.

I could load older documnets. Screenrefresh is very fast. But then nothing is possible because most icons aren't visible or just don't do what they should.
I also noticed that prefs needs ages to pop aup a window!

But I'm confident Deron will master this too!
Hey I'm waiting for over 1 year to get PGS 5 pro PPC

@all

Well, got it to boot up...started a page.

Managed to lock up a few things, only got one
alert. Aside from the excitement to have a working
beta to play with, this install seems like it will
be fun all by itself :)

It wasn't that bad. But I couldn't get it to do more than show the tool selector on the left side.

It sounds like it's about on par with the MOS version when that was released.

Anybody remember the old 3.x days with PgS? It'll get there. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Paul

Excellent, lets hope all beta testers can report all bugs so they can be fixed quickly!

I have to correct that opinion, if you don't mind!

V4 68k in OS4 is mostly stable. There is some problematic function,
but it is very productive overall.

The Grim Reapers are mostly just warnings, because you can continue
the work after "ignore errors".

The current V5 is really a pleasemorepatience release no doubt.
