It is not a matter of playing with fire...
Amiga standard boingbal it is a 8x8 segments, 4 white and 4 red ones.
If you draw a ball sized 4x4, made of 2 white and 2 red ones on the upper emisphere, and the same on the lower emisphere, then it is enough different from AmigaBall and none could claim anything.
Do you know that Windows XP drawer of My Pictures, featured an Amiga Like boingball, but made of 4 x 4 tiles?
