(I have a hunch that x1000 betatesters have had xkernel since 2013. Why there is no info released?)

No info. has been released because Hyperion decided not to at this time.

on amiga-news.de there was mentioned a PageStream version for os4.1.

This is the first I've ever heard of it. I know nothing about that.

usb for sam and the amigainput are stable with 4.1 final edition?

Depends what you mean. If you are worried, wait for some end user reviews before purchasing.

Can you say some more about what the "new WB, DOS and Intuition" features are?

Not until after Amiga Future gets the exclusive.

- will we get a SCSI driver for the BlizzardPPC (I dont have a Mediator so I am stuck with the onboard IDE which cripples the performance)

- will we get a 3D driver for the BVisionPPC (same reason here) ?

I don't honestly know. I don't keep track of the classic stuff and leave that to others.

In any case, more details will be available after Amiga Future gets the exclusive.

No, there is no smooth fading or whatever.

Personally, I haven't used a screen blanker since CRTs disappeared. I suppose others still do.

I believe there is a third party screen saver that does image slide show.

When will Hyperion deliver a complete and functional up to date version of Timberwolf?

Never because Timberwolf is not Hyperion's product. I've afraid you have been gravely misinformed.

I do have the source code to the current version of Timberwolf here on my hard drive. I really should look into working on it again but I thought most people could live with Odyssey in the mean time. Now that we have a good way to deliver video I really should get back to that project.

Really, if it is not Hyperions then who owns it? I understand that Thomas Frieden received the task of porting it but it was then taken on board by you and your team does that mean you own it?

What do you mean by a good way to deliver video?

Absolutely I really would appreciate seeing Timberwolf optimised and up to date, I really appreciate odyssey but it is no Firefox, the pluggins/extensions firefox offers are so awesome. Would further funding speed up the process of bringing Timberwolf up to date and ready for release?

Take those estimates and multiply them by PI and you're somewhat close

Thanks for the info.
Good to know that AOS4.x for x5000 is mature enough for betatesting.

@Fairdinkem

>good way to deliver video?

I read it so that RadeonHD drivers are now more capable to accelerate video playback:

@noXLar

At least there is not a limited number of CPUs available like with x1000.
(for me x5000 purchase requires two big things, multicore support and a lot of money, otherwise my upgrade would be to SAM460cr)

@klx300r

FlipPaper is not a screensaver, it's just a workbench backdrop changer.

Maybe that you speak about Tekmage Photo-blanker ?

http://www.os4depot.net/index.php?function=comments&file=graphics/screenblanker/photo-blanker.lha

but thank you for the "awesome"

@zzd10h

lol well it is awesome and thanks again for the frequent updates

for me it works like the best screensaver as I have it setup to switch backdrop pictures every minute & if I don't touch my keyboard for whatever time I have set in prefs then the standard screen savers that came with OS4.1 kick in so it's win-win

Thanks for clarification regarding PageStream, it had been mentioned here in the forum before.

Well that sucks. It is like paying up front for Windows 10, waiting two years and then being forced to buy Windows XP.

Seems to me that X1000 early adopters are getting mugged.
