We don't have 24/7 surveillance you know.

Yes, to free for all this goes too.

That's why you could do with some new mods...

Thank you for proving me wrong...

It's crazy....

BigBenTheAussie takes one step forward to improve relations with Amiga users, and Barry takes ten steps back to undo all his good work.

I feel really, really sorry for Leo.

@Spirantho

Worse yet. What remains of the original post clearly shows he knew private email had been posted by Franko and that is against site policy (also stated in that thread by moderator AFTER the email was posted).
And the response was...yes...to do the same thing, post email against site policy.
After all the time it took to create new avenues of communication through the newly created forums, I consider this quite an insult to the AW staff.

Agreed. We had a thread started by Leo in which he asked for constructive criticism and genuin ideas, while also trying to harbour, what i felt, were true intentions to create good relations between the two communities. And within the space of two threads Barry has kicked them into a burning pit.

One person suggested in that thread that Barry should restrain himself from posting random bile on the forums. This is greate evidence to support this suggestion.

@danwood

You might be reduced to that kind of behavior if you had a moron like franko post stalking you all over the net. The man "Barry" invested hard earned dollars into that business and takes #### all over the community. Must be hard.

That's very true old saying, I know from experience of playing with "pigs" in the past 20 months or so, they stink and you can never quite get rid of the dirt or odour they leave behind...

Still it's nice to see them get spit roasted at the end of the day...

Guys!
Try and calm you down a bit now!

I do not think it's good that Barry does, but his personality is such. opposite of what others say I think it can sometimes be charming. That is, Barry is not shaped in the same form as any other. He is who he is and also is said to be really nice private. One person said he had birthday before he asked where he ordered the computer went. He received an upgrade to the most expensive variant signed by Barry himself. Guy's day was saved!

- You can say right and do wrong
- You can say wrong but do the right

Barry is not one of them, he is a tough businessman who get a lot done. He is very against:
- You can say a lot without doing anything

Barry is the right man to start the new generation Commodore with the new genration Amiga. None of them are even like the old generation, and it shall not be liable for Barry not working with hobby stuff, he works with big business.

You think Bill Gates or Steve Jobs didn't get criticism/crazies, do you think they went around on forums posting private emails complete with phone numbers? No, there's a difference between being a professional businessman, and being an amateur, sorry but Barry is the latter.

In fact if he was running a UK based business, Franko would likely have grounds to sue thanks to our Data Protection act.

@danwood

Agree with Danwood. Not only he personally insulted any opposition to his company policy, but alone half of CUSA announcements of products changed over time. That is hardly professionalism.

As explained by mods, problem that we haven`t anticipated after the court case is that Amiga Inc will start licencing name for merely anything and anyone, and that by agreement, that cannot in anyway related to AmigaOS and any of Amiga related technologies - as Amiga Inc doesn`t own them.

However, there is only one company that "tries to emulate the real thing" (in aspects of name, history, look ... not only by OS 3 emulation) and convince us that is the future, and even that does in rude and unprofessional manner (professional would be to claim that you are CommodoreUSA company that has licence to name PCs C64x and Amiga, without using same name and models as existing ones, without a claim to Amiga and AmigaOS history and bash of "famous AmigaOs`s trio".

If they sold CommodoreUSA PC`s with Linux, that would be reality check and no lie to the customers.

In x86 world either very low prices or other form of innovation would be needed to survive, depending on nostalgia alone is not enough in such competative market). And without personal attacks on those who criticize their policies and offers. First of all, they dont develop any hardware or software, they just rebrand and put in expensive case they claim is $350 worth. Almost a price of a computer with Linux.

So playing both on Amiga nostalgia and x86 abilities (where you are more expensive then any competition) is not an easy win win solution.

Thanks!

Sometimes I love the big ego of the other side, or to quote Big Aussie

Bill McEwen has pretty much left the AMIGA brand to us to do with as we please. WE ARE AMIGA NOW! No matter what your take on that is. 2011 will *likely* see CommodoreUSA release AMIGA desktops, an AMIGA laptop and an AMIGA tablet. This will lead to a renaissance in terms of the AMIGA brand. Our AMIGA machines will have an unmistakable AMIGA flavour and should be competitive in the mainstream.

Not only was it completely unprofessional, but it reeked of a bitchy little girls blouse.

What even inspired Barry's post here? Was he involved in the crap Franko was posting about buying amiga.org somehow, and decide he wanted some "revenge", or did he just want to remind everyone what a schmuck he is?

edit: typos

Why so angry?
Why read Barry post?
There is a choice and you chose to read. Why do people read the post? Could it be some interest?

No anger. Im completely nonchalant about the whole thing. Doesnt mean I cant have an opinion.
As for why I read Barry's post,... simple, the thread topic made me curious.

I know youre just trying to antagonise people, but sorry guy youve picked the wrong person by responding to me as I have no interest in getting worked up over someones blatantly transparent attempts at riling people.
