Note on the right side of their page:
Commodore "Corperation", not Corporation. Interesting. ;) |

CES 2012 starts today. 30 years ago: Quote:
The (Commodore)64 made its public debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), though it wouldn't go into production until later in the year before going on sale in the US market in August. It didn't make it across the Atlantic until late Autumn. |
So far the only Commodore employee I can find attending is one of the 2012 Innovations Judges, Eyal Akler. Quote:
Eyal was chosen to head the North American re-launch of the famous Commodore PC brand. |
That would be the now defunct Commodore Gaming.
If you find any other Amiga or Commodore references at the show, please post them.

Which actually makes perfect sense given:
what C= HOLDINGS B.V. ("C=Holdings") is saying
Yes, the site is a former dead site they threw back up with the announcement. Yes, they can't spell. Yes, they can't refer to the same company by the same name each time they reference it, but still...

Apparently the exact term used on SEC that describes status of such companies as Commodore Gaming is "inactive", not "defunct". The latter implies it can not be made active.
Since the link from post #1 is dead, here's a replacement link on the same story from CES 2011.
Although it mentions Quote:
Mr. Peter Dai, COO of Commodore North America. |
We can see who the company (also listed as "inactive") really was here: http://www.nvannualreport.com/entities-DPC-COMMODORE-NORTH-AMERICA-INC.aspx Anyone trying to follow this will notice it's the same name again, although in this case he is president, secretary, treasurer, director...Heh.

Since those old C= companies no longer have C= IP license, I don't see them doing very much other then being apart of C='s history. _________________ Dammy |

I'm just making the point that it's the same man, and the current Asiarim SEC filings -do- show that he's active, if only in the sense that he's talking about his legal options.

AFAIK, the only option left for him is to do a voluntary bankruptsy/liquidation of AsiaRim. He may not want to do that as it might give the SEC more power to do an investigation of his practices over the past ten or so years. _________________ Dammy |

I wonder how much manpower SEC has. They are probably spread quite thin these days, given the erm...flim flam of the 2008 economic collapse.

Well, he could always use the vacuums offered years earlier to clean up the mess.

That illustrated some foresight. heh.

Unless someone makes a complaint, they probably won't touch it. Now if someone makes a complaint, SEC has to do something of an investigation. _________________ Dammy |
