Hey everyone,

I just wanted to say that I really like the atmosphere here. AmigaWorld.net reminds me of what USENET was like ten years ago. Friendly people with a genuine interest for the AmigaOS platform.

I really want to get my hands on the AmigaOne Lite ITX-board and AmigaOS 4.0 - I can't wait to develop stuff for it. Meanwhile, I'd like to thank the AmigaWorld.net staff for providing this service.

Thanks, guys.

I too found the atmosphere on here to be the best around.

I hope you continue to enjoy the site for a long time to come.

I have'nt been on that many forums but I find this one friendly, funny, knowledgeble, ethusiastic with a great sense of community.

I have been on the forum a nearly month now and have'nt seen a flame yet!

The reason for the lack of flameage are twofold: first, most of us arrived here because we were sick and tired of the flaming on other sites, so starting a flamewar is something most of us don't want; secondly, the moderators here are a lot tougher on troublemakers - this would be the "censorship" you might have heard of on other sites. In reality what gets "censored" is blatant trolling and personal attacks, this keeps things pretty civil. A few weeks ago there was a debate between pro- and anti- amiga, inc supporters, and everyone involved was remarking on how on any other chat site, things would have degenerated into name-calling pretty early on.

I've not been here long either, but your certainly right - by far the friendliest site on the net. And here's a friendly smile from me -

I 've just spent the last hour or so ploughing through some ann threads.

All it did was reinforce the same feelings you've just posted.

While they're both useful and informative, I find that AmigaWorld is more relaxed than another Amgia site.

Also, AW tends to have lots of interesting avatars...

tbh if I want to hear a balanced POV I'll drop onto Amiga.org, but the flamewars are just too much, so I tend to lurk on Amigaworld more than anywhere else....

On the whole the people on here are a decent bunch and sometimes very funny.....

There's little spam, what spam there is comes from Bodies down under, so I guess it's topped with Feta and more paletable ;)

Don't even get me started on Ann.lu, I just go there to remind myself why I haven't bought a Pegasos.
