@broadblues

Thanks for the advice on the Ezcap, I've gone ahead and purchased it from Amazon. Hopefully, I'll have enough time this side of Christmas to post a few videos up on YouTube.

@ssolie

I saw this video of Loriano's Sam440 booting AmigaOS (min. 2:18) and I was impressed since it was 2x faster in loading then my 460ex with SSD connected to sii3212.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3JUWtNN-P8

I was thinking the difference was in the pci bus, but maybe the video is 2x accelerated?

@ssolie

Hi, maximum theoretical bandwidth for PCI is 133 MB/s, whereas PCI-e bandwidth is 2,5 Gb/s this is aprox. 300 MB/s. Offered PCI -> SATA cards for sam460 are SATA I with tranfers about 150 MB/s. Nowadays SSDs transfers are 500 MB/s, so PCI is bottleneck. Correct me if am I wrong.

I want buy 460 if there will be bootable driver for any type PCI-e SATAII card.

@kyle
Note the Sam440ep has the 3114 controller connected via PCI on the motherboard.

@ssolie

Where?
At min. 1:18 I see 2 sata cables connected directly to the motherboard: I presume they where connected to SSD and DVD rom on the other side

@kyle

The onboard SATA on the Sam440 still connects via the PCI bus, same with the audio.

Hi everyone! :)

@ssolie

Is there will be in Final Release of AmigaOS4.1 MiniGL/Warp3D support for BVision/CVision graphics cards?? Maybe could you give also answer for WarpOS backward compatibility for X1000 na Sam460? Is there chance to run old stuff on this machines. I realize that is WOS wrapper is third party software and WOS nowdays is nothing attractive but nice will be to see it working on this computers. ;)

Regards
Lokaty

According to compatibility list there should be beta Warp3D driver in current 4.1 Classic.

No WarpOS compatibility yet on these computers and I wouldn´t expect support in the future.

And of course...

Welcome!
