By "use" youtube, do you mean view videos on Youtube?
If so, then yes! Go to OS4 depot and download the latest version of SMTube.

YES! Smtube is awesome. One of the fastest youtube players i've seen on anyplatform.

You will need to install QT first though.

And I would highly recommend MUI MPlayer to play the streams.

Youtube in internet browser is not supported on OS4, not now. There are other solutions like mentioned dedicated application.

SMTube works for me... well ofc videos don't work still frigging waiting for WarpUp/Gallium support like X1000 users.

Err, smtube doesn't play the videos, it just shows/searches them in a list...
Mplayer does the actual playback job.

So you could rephrase it as mplayer is the fastest youtube player, rather...

Gotta agree with Fab here.
If it werent for mplayer, my OS4 media experience would be a miserable one! Shame OS4 mplayer is so very rarely updated. (any plans for an update Fab?)

Are there any other video players on OS4 that come close to mplayer? I know of VAMP, but it is just too slow.

Indeed, mPlayer is the only YouTube player available for AmigaOS 4.1. SmTube is the best GUI to search for YouTube videos and play them with mPlayer.

In order to have sMTube working correctly, you need to have MUI-mPlayer installed and the latest version of Qt (4.7) too.

For those getting GrimReapers, install Qt correctly and use MUI-mPlayer.
