No, you knew even this! You're the guy that commented my articles on X1000, don't you remember? And now you completely changed your mind. But the truth is that you did it simply because you've got burned by your X1000 experience. That's all.

No, I haven`t change my mind much about what is good/bad, and I am just entirely
pissed off because if you try to present what are problems in support forum,
you get ..... real support. That is all. That is what I have never expected.

Quote:
At least fight the right company. Hyperion has no rule on your claims. You've bought a machine which lacks support, and Hyperion has signed no contract to provide them, from what I know.

That is most sad part: you can`t get real address of Hyperion, registered number, its
kind of virtual company. All my probs are software related and I support AEON
but Steven and co. leave me no other choice but to sue AEON for lack of support
for X1000. That is, if they don`t improve in mentioned areas and fixes by Jan 1st 2014.
So I give reasonable time to fix not only mine problems.

That didn't take much effort. I'm sure you can get a company financial statement for a few Euro as well. It is a CVBA, which, from my limited understanding, is somewhere between a partnership and private limited company, in UK company law terms.

@Aslak3

Thanks. Find me that on official website.

But yet, my contract / purchase is with AEON
so I am forced to go against people I like,
because people that don`t do their job are their partners.

@Amiboy

AmiKit takes 3 months to assemble system, test and ship it from
day everything is paid, they give sometimes inclomplete info
and are unwilling to sort any out of ordinary requests (please
buy small SSD if you don`t have, more software like Vesalia ...)
even that would be paid, and failed to give me most of printed
manuals even today and now want that I shop something to
send me AmigaOS box and manuals. It took days to get
Linux password, AmigaOS serial and finally get acess
to support forums (that have proven to be witcharaft on
users that reports ordinary needs).

Hyperion and Steve have agenda of their own and are
willing to leave SAM 460 and X1000 users behind for Cyrus
which is so sad and bad (leave behind = put on a low priority)
and Steven is kind of core developer that is not really responsible
for anything, but very rude and impolite and excersise abuse of power
position whenever possible.

Only one that do work are X1000 Linux support team and Trevor.

And that all with I offering to support bounties if they need to hire
more people. They complain being just 2? I would pay 20% more
for their products or do 50-100 GBP donation for hiring more skilled
labor, but no they have their own mystical ways with no results.

And so on and so forth, maybe Amig4Be was right, people
don`t see obvious facts.

Hope we have power and rationale to change all that to better,
and that I will not have to sue them all (and sadly I have to start
with AEON cause I have their product ...)

System is build so NO ONE IS REALLY REALIABLE FOR ANYTHING
once you start complaining, but some can really try to corner you ...

Steven sais ask by e-mail, and then tells you there is almost nothing
he can do on e-mail + flamme you a bit.

Serious products needs serious people.

You might find me funny, but I am no fool.

as i'm sure several people have already explained to you there are no printed manuals included with the first contact systems. all of the documentation is electronic and included with the system, as well as available at A-EON's web site. i'm sorry to hear of your experience with amigakit -- they have always been first rate with me and many others. i have no doubt you've contacted them with your concerns before posting publicly.

oh, really? i think they'd be rather surprised to hear that. you have no idea how hard they're working to support these -- and all NG systems -- to the fullest extent possible.

excellent. that's a few hours of coding right there. well done. now multiply that by a few thousand and it might actually make a difference. they're working as hard as they can. your choice, as the consumer, is either to purchase their product if it meets your needs, or to not do so. you chose the former and discovered it is not up to par for you. no biggie. return it.

you will be laughed out of court.

the people involved are both serious and sane. which is more than i can say for these threads you keep spawning. i like you, vox, i really do. i just really think you've gone off the deep-end with this stuff.

You'll loose the lawsuit. If the product doesn't satisfy the requirements, you simply ask for a fix or give it back using the current EU law. Only if neither of the two options can be exercised you can suit the seller.

Sic et simpliciter.

They don't have to put the info there. Of course anyone who deals directly with them would need and receive addresses for service etc.

Actually your contract is with AmigaKit, unless the X1000 is somehow done differently (which I doubt).

As to support etc, I'm not sure even where it says your X1000 came with support? Again, you have no contract with HE to supply you with support. Though it's called the "official support forum" there is nothing that says HE can't pull the plug any time they want and noone would legally have any complaint. Likewise AmiUpdates. AFAIK there is nothing that says HE have to do anything at all?

In short, if you are not happy with your purchase you should take it up with AmigaKit, since they are the ones who have your money.

FWIW I think AmigaKit are a fine bunch of folks. AmiBoy now has the SAM460 I bought from them. Hopefully he is making good use of it. :) Your welcome to moan at them, but since AmigaKit is about the only Amiga dealer (certainly in the UK) left, you wont get much support round here in that endeavour.

Lawrence

I live close enough to Amigakit to make personal visits and believe me, if Chris could ship products and systems out the same day they are ordered he would.

I don't know the numbers but they are shipping a lot of X1000's and have been busy with them since they first went on sale. In addition to assembling X1000's they also have to deal with all the other orders and these days any leads and some other components have to be hand assembled too. They also carry out repairs on people older Commodore and Escom Amigas too. This all takes time which adds up and on top of that they aren't making huge amounts, there are no sports cars parked outside their business unit.
