Looking through the ReadMe file there is no prgrammer name given just ACube. The drivers itself has been posted on the OS4 depot, version 6.1. I assume future updates will mshow up there as well.

i don't think it 100% guarantee that sata drives will work if they work on pc's i think.. its another story with pata drives.. am i right?
the drive im using now is sata 2.5" 1tb disk..gona change it with a 3.5" 500 or 1 tb disk.. access time are a little faster i think.. _________________ nox's in the house! |

I found an email adress rossv at potduck dot com I sent him an email. Last version is from august 2011. I really hope they´re taking this seriously bec alot of ppl want to buy Sam460 but with a betadriver and not enough pci-e slots to connect a soundblaster ppl are hesitating. _________________ AmigaOS on Google+ AmigaOS on Facebook |

absolutely. among the reasons i decided against getting a SAM460 at the moment:
1. no DMA support for on-board SATA, so you need a SATA card in your PCI slot 2. buggy audio, so you need a soundcard -- and the PCI slot is already taken 3. no 3D support for the RadeonHD cards
i hardly wanted to spend more than $1000USD for a system that had less driver support than my existing SAM440ep-flex, which gets with every OS update. what i'd really like to see is the audio driver finished, and u-boot improvements to use support a SATA controller behind a PCI-to-PCIe bridge. then i wouldn't need the audio card, i could use an off-the-shelf sil3114 PCI card (and adapter) and still have one remaining PCI slot for a wireless card. if those two things happened, i'd place my order the same day.

| @eliyahu Yes, i agree with you but i think we will get 3d support soon. Aone500/SAM460 is a nice piece of hardware. I really love my new amiga. _________________ AmigaOS on Google+ AmigaOS on Facebook |
