Obviously you have no idea of what you're talking about...

Only a fool like yourself would believe anything that the self confessed Amiga hater Mr Hunt says but then I wouldn't expect much more from someone like yourself who thinks the sun shines out of Waynes rear end...

Sad to think that the so called "Amiga Community" has folk like yourself involved in it but then the so called "Amiga Community" these days is mostly made up from fakes who either don't even own an Amiga (let alone use one) or they think that running an Amiga emulator on a PC somehow makes them a genuine Amiga user...

But then when PC users are involved in the "Amiga Community" I shouldn't really be surprised by the fact that they are dumb...

I take it you just threw up when you finally realised that you're the type of person I was talking about...

Best to stick to your EggBOX in future cos the Amiga is way over your head...

@Franko

We would appreciate not bringing issues you may have had with a.o to our site. People usually tend to get banned for a reason, and to date we have only had cause to do likewise for one or two members.

Point taken... sorry...

But I should point out this thread was not started by me and was indeed about A.org issues just in case you hadn't noticed...

I should also point out that I haven't been banned from A.org (does it say banned on my profile) it's just with the site Admins on holiday (Pyro & Transition) that a certain person thought he would take the opportunity to wind me up by blocking my login details then finally blocking my ISP from the site...

I have already spoken to Pyro about it and he will sort it out when he gets back from his vacation...

I also meant no offence by starting the thread, I am unable to log in there, so by saying something here, I was hoping that someone could pass on my problem to amiga.org as I cannot do that myself.

I have no problem with that site, I pop in at various places all the time, mine is more of a technical problem, I have no reason to believe that I personally would have an IP Ban.

I wouldn't be concerned you behavior has been community minded.

If you're using SKY broadband then that could well be your problem as Wayne has blocked certain SKY ISP's that I was using and so you will not be able to view the site until Pyro fixes it...

Sorry to the mods but the guy is only looking to find out why he can't access A.org and this seems to be his only option of getting an answer... :)

Yes, I am on SKY Broadband, so yes, that could be the problem

@AmigaOneProductions

Thought as much, sorry mate but just like me you'll have to wait until Pyro gets back from his vacation to sort out this mess Wayne has created, so you'll not have access short of using a proxy until next week when Pyro has said he'll fix it...

Likewise, but I haven't had a problem accessing the pages (which are usually open in a tab somewhere amongst the plethora of tabs I have on the go ant any time).

It could be that a selected range of IPs had been restricted on the Sky network and that you have been unlucky enough to be handed them each time, or that the issue has been resolved by now.

@Karlos

Posting this here, since I'm having some real issues with a.org.

(1)Not serious, but noticed this after the site came back up.
In IBrowse I now see 4 search box entries between "search forums" and the site navigation section
To be clear, I am not using the retro version of the site. Nevertheless these are new symptoms I'm seeing that were not there before.

(2)After login and clicking a thread (again IBrowse), I'm getting the vbulletin error page more often than not.

@number6

Yeah, the site is struggling. I've enabled a very dumb caching mechanism for guest users that hopefully reduces load on the underlying database, which for some reason, seems to run out of connections occasionally and results in that vb error page you get.

It's annoying as hell but the only real solution is a beefier server. Even with the cache I had a few lags this evening - though my "incognito" chrome session for testing the non-logged in view tended to sail through them, adding more weight to the case for the database struggling to keep up.

eh, eh! that must be something really screwed over AORG today.

I get the "Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address. To contact the administrator click here" only with some thread.

or they are tweaking/fixing something server side.
