Take a look at early preview / alpha web site for PageStream:

http://www.pagestream.cn/

Deron is working on it :) Lots of has to be done but it starting to shape finally :)

Well done, That's looking really good.
What a result, for a great initiative.

Oh I am glad Grasshoppers have taken your design and its gonna become a reality. After the web site, I hope they will bugfix 5.0 for Amiga and grant you two free copies, so I can have one

Text editing is a must for me, and unless some good Word like editor comes native, I am willing to use a DTP package for it )))
Word is rather an overkill for text editing. Bloated program and bloated output. CygnesEd 5.0 would be a much better option for you, and it's native.

Beside learning DTP might come handy.
It would always come in handy.

And OpenOffice for Kids first public realise is promised to be no faster then July 2011, and that just might be public beta!
Not sure about when OOK will be available, but we at least know it is being worked on

@djnick

Transparency on the Grasshopper sled team logo doesn't look great in IE8 or Firefox 3.6 in Windows. Also in both browsers, the bottom grey bar seems ot overlap the content portion of the page a little.

Otherwise I really like it.

The download link could be a little more dynamic

@vox

I am beta-testing Amiga [& PC] versions. PC is very usable while Amiga version even looks very nice and has nice features - needs lots of polishing before comes as a real product.

@djnick

Just wondering, how many people are working on the Amiga version and how many BetaTesters are there?

I would love to be a tester for native Amiga PPC software.

@Swoop

Well, it would be about time. Hope that beta testing will help.

I agree Word is overkill, slow and too feature rich, however CED cannot open RTF/DOC (or it can?) Cinemaron Writter will be good as it will be improved.

There has not been any news on Amiga page for OO Kids after initial trouble Linux (or Mac) programmer went, but expected test realise is July 2011.

@DJ nick

Congratulations, hope your beta testing will improve the product and help it. How difficult is to apply to beta testing?
