I am building my own list of stations, but very slowly.
Hunting them down via search engines and trying them out is working, though.
Could we not share lists of stations?

It seems that this "207.200.98.25" doesn't work right now.
TuneNet keeps saying "searching for stations" but nothing happens.
Running the latest TuneNet (0.92.56) under Pegasos2. _________________

That is a few I came up with last weekend.
I open up my editor on the list. Highlight the one I'm interested in, paste in the [Open URL] Tunenet requester.
That way I can keep all kinds of other information about the station. Pretty simple, eh? I collected a bunch of New Zealand and Aussie stations + I have a couple local ones for when they are "after hours" internet only.
I tried command line mplayer on the some URLs. It works just fine, but mplayer would pause if I was messing with windows and other applications, where as Tunenet does not.

Since shoutcast classic search is no longer supported I just seach for web radio stations with OWB and look for the manual setup option. For example sky.fm has a resonable selection of music. I select the "Help configure player" LINK.
I choose the "hardware players" option and select the the music genre of my choice e.g. "Classic Rock"
I then copy the provided link (in this case = http://80.94.69.106:6734/) and use Notepad to create a back-up of the TuneNet "tn_deflist.m3u" file. I repeat this for links to other music genres. You can add any number of radio station links in this way. I then copy this file to the TuneNet directory.
When I open Tunenet all the radio stations I added are listed. Keep a back-up of the tn_deflist.m3u file because Tunenet overwrites this.

That is good advice. It is approximately what I do.
So the playlist part is pretty much decoded.
Next, I am hoping to figure out how listings for the "internet Radio" tab can filled out with information pertinent to the (I presume) default headings.
Since we cannot "scan" at all I don't have an example to tease apart.
Anybody have a saved one from before "scanning" quit working?

Thanks for the little tutorial above. I'm back in business listening to jazz and film score music with my TuneNet. And the occasional '80s rewind to go with the whole Amiga theme. _________________

| While we're waiting for Paul to update TuneNet I was hoping I could solve the issue by redirecting RoadShow from yp.shoutcast.com to my server and convert the shoutcast 1.x requests to their 2.0 API, retrieve the list and return that to TuneNet but their new API requires a developer ID to request anything from the 2.0 server
So as a stop gap measure I retrieved the Top 500 list, converted it to html and dropped it on my server.
Now you can listen to any of those 500 stations in TuneNet by doing the following:
- Use IBrowse (that way you can search the list) - Go to metacomco.com/top500.html - Click on the stations you want from the list - Let IB download the files as-is to some playlist drawer, or give them a unique name - When you're done, grab your playlist drawer from Workbench and drop it on Tunenet
It takes a few more steps than the old way but it's better than nothing
I don't know how long the stations IDs will remain valid so if nothing works anymore, send me a PM and I'll regenerate a new listing. _________________ AlexC's free OS4 software collection

| This is the method that enables scan to work
Open SYS:Prefs/Internet, select "Hosts" on the left side, click on "New...". In the new window enter 207.200.98.1 as IP address and classic.shoutcast.com as Host name, then click "Use". Save and make a reset.

It works thanks, but why TuneNet says immediately "Playback finished" without doing nothing? I always had the same problem with the latest release of TuneNet. _________________

Did you use the correct number? I have edited my post again to make it more clear. _________________ If your nose runs and your feet smell, you're upside down. |

Yes, during search it finds radio streaming, but I cannot have playback with the latest version of TuneNet. Only 86.66 version works for me. :( _________________

That's strange, can't really think of any reason for that. Have you tried checking audio.device, mpega. library and ahi are all upto date? Could also try deleting the ahi prefs in env/sys. _________________ If your nose runs and your feet smell, you're upside down. |

mplayer shouldn't pause unintentionally if you add -quiet option (granted, it's less informative that way, but not so bad for streams). _________________ : AmigaOneXE (unmod.) 750FX/512 MB +stuff & AmigaOS 4.(0|1) : A1200/68060&96MB/SCSI/EM1200-Voodoo3 & OS 3.5 : A500/1MB : Pegasos (ff) 512 MB & MorphOS Praise seitan. |
